On 6 May 2007 News Ltd newspaper, The Sunday Telegraph, reported that Hoare had been the subject of a sexual harassment complaint from a Comcar driver. It was alleged that on April 10, Hoare propositioned the driver for sex .
Hoare released a short statement saying that she regretted the 'improper approach' and was undertaking counselling.
